This includes physicians, nurses, paramedics, etc. The course includes adult, child and infant CPR, use of AED, pocket mask and bag-valve-mask device and two rescuer CPR. Skills performance and a written exam are required so that students may earn a credentialed card.
Basic First Aid
The New Basic First Aid for the Community and Workplace program teaches how to properly apply first aid skills to save lives and reduce recovery time. Course covers the following topics: soft-tissue, bone, joint, and muscle injuries, legal aspects, shock, medical emergencies, and heat and cold related injuries and illnesses.
Bloodborne Pathogens
The Bloodborne Pathogens awareness program includes information that will help students understand what bloodborne pathogens are and how risks of exposure can be reduced for themselves and others. The program assists in satisfying the training requirements of the U.S. Department of Labor, OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standard.
Emergency Oxygen Administration
Serious and life-threatening medical emergencies often cause oxygen to be depleted in the body leaving the victim at risk for cardiac arrest or brain damage. Emergency Oxygen administration is a critical step in treating a severe or life-threatening illness or injury. This program focuses on administering emergency oxygen, rescue breathing and oxygen delivery devices.
Child and Babysitting Safety
The CABS program stresses the priority to keep you and the children you care for safe. Babysitting is not just “watching” the children, but being responsible for their safety and well being. When you are caring for a child, you are taking care of a parent(s) most prized possession. Everything in their home and your own home can be replaced— everything, that is, except a child.
Pet First Aid
Pet First Aid is the immediate care given to an injured or suddenly ill pet as temporary assistance until competent veterinary care is available. Properly applied first aid can save your pet’s life, reduce recovery time and be the difference between temporary disability and lifelong disability. This program concentrates on basic first aid care. It is not intended to replace veterinary care, but rather to instruct the pet owner on how to save a pet’s life during an emergency or to minimize a pet’s trauma after an injury.
